Description
Our local karate club is called "Kölyöksárkány" which translates to "Dragon Kid" in English. On this page, I present various social media posts I created for our karate club.
The anthropomorphic one
Since it is 2025 and AI image and video generation is all the rage these days, I wanted to create some concept art to experiment with and learn cutting-edge AI image tools. As a result, I developed an anthropomorphic child-like dragon and a classic 3D cartoon-style dragon.
The anthropomorphic child-like dragon represents a "Dragon Kid", wearing a karate gi and obi. First, I drew the line art version of it and then I used AI image generation to transform it into a colorful, somewhat 3D-like image. However, many manual retouches had to be applied to the AI-generated image to achieve the desired result.
The 3D cartoon-style one
A classic 3D cartoon-style dragon was chosen as the mascot for our summer camp, and the first banner for social media can be seen below:
As a starting point, I used some vaguely similar images to feed the AI tool in order to generate different variations in both style and character. After numerous iterations and manual image editing adjustments, the dragon I envisioned was brought to life.
Next, I used an AI video generation tool to rotate the dragon by using the following prompt: "A cute Pixar-style 3D dragon model is showcased by being rotated 360 degrees on a turntable platform".
The result is quite good, I think. Despite some minor issues, the animation is pretty usable as a starting point to generate even more images of the same character.
The "classic" one
In this case, the aim was to communicate the opportunity to try out karate during the summer, with the added incentive that training would be free until the end of August.
I started by generating an AI-based image of a beach to serve as the backdrop, which I then adjusted in a photo editing program to better suit the composition and balance of the visuals.
Using this static image, I produced an AI-generated video background, which was added to the final result without modification.
While the video quality wasn’t high due to budget constraints of this project (all these karate banners are community-supporting works I created free of charge), it served its function well as a background element.
