Description
During my collaboration with BOLS Hungary Kft. – a company established in 1991 specializing in the import and distribution of spirits in Hungary –, I was responsible for the design and prepress preparation of various gift boxes and POS materials for their portfolio between 2001 and 2006.
The client’s brands included Grant’s Scotch whisky, Cointreau liqueur, and Rémy Martin French cognac. My tasks encompassed the full creative process, from conceptualization to the production-ready stage, utilizing DTP software and 3D modeling and rendering techniques to create all prepress materials and visual compositions.
The images showcased on this page depict only a few of the many packaging and POS solutions made, including gift boxes, branded displays, and promotional tools for the featured spirits.
The aim was to provide visually compelling packaging and promotional materials that aligned with the brand identities and met the marketing requirements of BOLS Hungary Kft.
As a desktop publishing professional, the workflow required careful coordination between image creation and print layout to ensure color accuracy, structural integrity of the packaging, and adherence to the client’s branding guidelines.
As part of the design and prepress process, I developed unwrapped box layouts and adapted the artwork to the precise dielines required for accurate printing and assembly. This step was crucial to ensure that the visual design translated correctly onto the three-dimensional forms once produced.
